1 cup Quinoa
3/4 cup apple and orange sauce
For Apple and Orange sauce
1 teaspoon orange zest
3 sweet limes, large
2 cinnamon sticks
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
2 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon mix of sunflower, musk melon, watermelon, pumpkin, cucumber seeds
4 - 5 walnuts
6 - 7 almonds
1/4 cup blueberries and raspberries, dried
1 teaspoon honey
6 -7 slices fresh coconut
For Apple and Orange Sauce
Wash and peel the apple and cut into small pieces.
Grate orange skin for zest.
Peel orange skin and discard seeds.
Remove the juice of the sweet limes.
In a pan, add the sweet lime juice.
Add apple and orange pieces with whole Cinnamon.
Cover with a lid and cook till the apple pieces turn soft.
Once done, slightly mash them with a potato masher.
Remove the whole cinnamon stick.
Add orange zest and cinnamon powder, mix it and turn off the flame.
Allow it to cool.
Once cool, add honey and mix in well.
Apple and orange sauce is ready.
Soak the quinoa inadequate water for 2 hours.
Cook quinoa in 3/4th of apple & orange sauce. (Keep 1teaspoon of sauce for later use)
Add 1/4 of the water as well.
Cover the lid and cook on low flame.
Once cooked, transfer to a serving bowl.
Soak both berries in warm water for 5 minutes.
In the cooked quinoa, add berries fresh coconut, dry roasted walnut and almonds, a spoon of apple & orange sauce and 5 seeds.
Add 1 teaspoon of honey on top.
A healthy bowl of quinoa is ready to eat.
