1/2 teaspoon saffron strands

4 teaspoons lime juice

6 teaspoons honey

1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder

1/2 teaspoon rock salt

Ice cubes

Lemon rind to garnish


Method  Method

Saffron needs moisture to release its flavor, so soak in water for 30 minutes. Gently rub between fingers to dissolve it.

In a pitcher, add dissolved saffron, 5 glass of water, rock salt, honey, cardamom, and lemon juice.

Serve in a glass with some ice cubes, and garnish with lemon rind.

A little bit of this precious spice goes a long way; it is calming and soothing. Saffron is usually associated with winter and we all know it's good to have "saffron- milk" in winter.

However, as this spice has multiple health benefits we shouldn't restrict its usage only to winters. Saffron is rich in manganese and helps regulate blood sugar. It is a rich source of riboflavin, an important vitamin for the heart. It also helps reduce stress hormone levels and ease the psychological symptoms of PMS.
